How We Change Lives
My son and had I lost our house and our car, and one of the only reasons I saw light at the end of the tunnel was because I was going to the California Academy – A Paul Mitchell Partner School and reading Be Nice (Or Else!) by Paul Mitchell Schools’ Dean and Cofounder Winn Claybaugh.
As someone who has tried committing suicide in the past, I want you to know that the Paul Mitchell culture and Be Nice (Or Else!) saved my life. I am an esthetics student and have truly developed a passion for skin, but in the process I have developed a passion for helping others inside and outside of school because of the things Winn, my Learning Leaders, and my classmates have shown me. I can seriously say that I love everyone. This is the happiest I have ever been in my entire life and I will be involved in the Paul Mitchell culture in major ways forever. (In the next 7 years I will be the reason Paul Mitchell will be known for its involvement with the skin industry.) I feel it's where I belong. I'm making my 10% shift and it feels PHENOMENAL!
I believe that a lot of people get so caught up in themselves that they don't realize that the person next to them may be struggling and just needs a smile or a hug. My story could be that encouragement.
